Obverse: Head of nymph Larissa facing slightly right, wearing ampyx.

Reverse: Horse grazing, right.

At one point Larissa was an independent Greek city-state that could mint its own coins like the one here. This ended when it was conquered by Philip II, father to Alexander the Great.
