Ancient Corinthian Black-Figured Aryballos

Circa 7th-6th century B.C. 

A beautiful Corinthian black-figured aryballos decorated with a swan and lotus motifs. This small pot would've been used to pour liquids and features a round globular body, short neck, and thick flat rim with small pouring hole. The pot is decorated in the characteristic black-figure painting technique and is supplemented by dark red painted tones for details along the design. There is wear along the designs, characteristic with its age.
