An exquisite blue faience ushabti from the 18th-25th Dynasty (1570-747 B.C.). This piece has an intact molded face with defined features and no false beard. The crossed arms appear to be holding hoes on each side.
It was believed that ushabtis would come to life and act as servants for the deceased person in the afterlife. This particular ushabti has what appears to be two hoes. As a result, it was likely meant to serve the deceased as an agricultural worker in the afterlife.
The two hoes would date the ushabti to the 18th-25th Dynasties.
The ushabti comes with its custom stand.
